Infant/Toddler Program: For Children Ages 12 to 24 Months

The I/T Program is located at 5610 Broadway.

  • Full-Day: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Daily schedule Hummingbirds
  • Part-Day: 8:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • The teacher to child ratio is 1 to 4.
  • The Montessori philosophy and concepts are introduced to the one year olds in a very relaxed atmosphere.
  • The children are encouraged to explore, experiment, understand their environment in a way that stimulates and challenges inner drives, while providing a warm, nurturing, and safe environment.
  • The child uses activities that challenge, engage and promote self-esteem and independence. The child has many opportunities to be creative, problem-solve and work.
  • Care is taken to stimulate the young children with a variety of sensorial, manipulative, art, fine and gross motor activities that develop self-esteem and teaches socialization skills.

Full- or Part-Day Preschool Programs: For Children Ages 2 to 5 Years

  • Full-Day: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Daily schedule Robins & Sparrows
  • Part-Day: 8:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Daily schedule Bluejays
  • Mixed age classrooms.
  • Special cooking and art projects.
  • Spanish instruction in small groups.
  • A fully immersed academic Montessori program.
  • The child is exposed to a variety of activities, group and individual.
  • The child uses activities that challenge, engage and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • The child has many opportunities to be creative, problem solve and work on socialization skills and conflict resolution.

Spanish Language

A weekly Spanish class is offered to all children in the program who are ages 2 and up. There is no additional fee for the Spanish language program.

Extracurricular Mandarin class

Working directly with The Berlitz Language Academy, RMS is currently offering Mandarin. Berlitz comes to the school for weekly instruction. This is an extracurricular program during school hours with payments made directly to Berlitz.

The following extracurricular activities are available to our preschool-age children during normal school hours:

Fitness in Transit, Yoga, Creative Movement, Gymnastics, Theatre Arts & Martial Arts

These on-site physical education and recreational programs for ages 2 years and up gives children an exceptional opportunity to develop themselves through gymnastics in a safe, creative way. The weekly 45-minute sessions use stretching, tumbling and apparatus instruction to cultivate strength, flexibility, basic motor coordination, balance and mental focus. A separate fee applies for these programs.
